Is Faking Comments On Your Blog a Good Idea ?

One of the biggest frustrations when your blog is pretty new like Web Business Blog is the lack of comments you receive for each blog post you write and at times it can feel like your talking to yourself. Although this blog is pretty new with 50 posts i still have only received 18 comments to my posts…

Now some would say that this is a pretty good comment to post ratio for a relatively new blog but it can still get pretty frustrating especially when you've spent a lot of time producing some really good content for your visitors to enjoy. Now one of the very sneaky and dishonest techniques (in my opinion) some bloggers use when their blogs are relatively new is to fake comments. The thought of actually faking comments on my blog had never crossed my mind until i read a reply darren rowse made to a reader question that asks should i add fake comments to my blog

What they basically do is make up false names and email addresses and post fake comments in reply to their own posts with the sole intention of making it look like their blog is more active than it actually is. This technique is also used in trying to get a conversation going…

Although it's a very tempting technique to use and to a certain extent i can see the benefit of using it i would highly recommend that you don't use it on your own blog. The biggest reason for not making fake comments and the reason that you'll never see them on this blog is that it's being totally dishonest…

Instead of wasting your precious time posting pointless fake comments in an effort to make your blog look more popular than it really is you should be spending that time on techniques that build more traffic to your blog which will naturally increase the chances of anybody commenting on your posts…

Then once your blog is receiving a good amount of traffic you can learn how to get more comments on your blog
